Cooking on a budget is designed to help those who would like to expand their range of culinary skills, without necessarily having the means to buy every ingredient Delia Smith would recommend.
This activity will look at what foods are needed to maintain a healthy body and how what we eat affects our mood, resilience to illness and energy levels.
The cooking on a budget activity will also look at shopping and buying ‘essentials’ on a budget. Creating tasty meals out of lower priced ingredients. Why not come along and find a new recipe to cook for your family, or even something so simple that you can make it with your children.
Cooking on a budget will provide the knowledge on how to make the basics of any food projects, such as pastry, sauces and baking as well as more tasty options which can be used to create a memorable meal.
