Anger is a normal emotion that is experienced by most species yet only humans feel anger towards themselves. We get angry because of events, experiences, thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and, sometimes, our own behaviour. Developing an understanding of the triggers for anger, and the way we deal with the feelings resulting from anger, is useful in learning more productive lifestyle choices. The sessions will look at developing an understanding of anger and the ‘anger cycle’, managing anger in relationships and the cycle of aggression that maintains anger. The sessions will also look at relaxation techniques and tips for managing anger more effectively. |
